First Saturday of August...

So Dave and I have been here for two weeks now, and when I say here I mean Toronto. Yup. Home sweet, lovely home. Within two weeks we drove 14 hours from our actual home to Dave's mom's as are usual first stop to Toronto to celebrate Dave's 30ish-th birthday, back to his mom who threw us a wonderful baby shower, and back to Toronto again for some city love. There are plenty of stories already within the two weeks but instead of going through the whole shabang I'll just write about this lovely Saturday in the city...

Dave and I sleeping in until 10, enjoying every bit of sleeping in until our bundle arrives next months (NEXT MONTH! Can you believe it?!) He hits the gym, I hit up the kitchen where my mother spends most of her time making breakfast on the weekends and dinner every night.

A text from a long time best buddy tells me he's in town with his lovely girl and siblings(/inlaws.) Dave and I get ready for the day and meet up in Kensington Market. Out and about in this lovely, sunny, hot day we meet in a sea of people and they're food crawling to Toronto's top food places. We wish them farewell after the meet thinking we'll see them later in the day when my brother messages me, movie time! But first, since we're in the neighbourhood, a good ol fashioned treat, beef patties from Patty King.

Scotiabank Theatre, I like to still think of as Paramount, we watch Guardians of the Galaxy. My review? Awesome movie, great music, love Zoe Saldana and honestly thought Chris Pratt's character was going to be overly cocky but surprisingly wasn't as bad as other Marvel characters.

Dave being his usual burger loving self was craving one so off we went to Burger Priest where he orders the High Priest, yup and fries. Can you guess what happens next? You guessed it, Dave gets a little tired so we hang out back home for a while and then finally, what I've been waiting all day for...

National Ice Cream Sandwich Day! We hope into Harrison and drive down to Ossington for some, what I thought was BangBang but was Bakerbots Bakery. Scarf down our delicious treats and head home again. Dinner time for the baby and I and really, why pay money when my mother is cooking adobo at home? Ending my night with this meal and Dave is out to party at the Tiki Bar with his buddies. Thus concludes our Saturday.

I'm not sure when I'll be posting again but I sure hope it's soon, so many adventures, so little time!

Ooh yeah, are you surprised Dave and I bought new shoes? Of course not. These bad boys are a MUST for pregnant, swollen feet. Honestly life savers. And Dave just wanted them because they are nice and super comfy. His and hers! I wonder if they have them in baby sizes... Anyways, ta for now! :)
