Aloha!

So, if you're not friends with Dave or me on Facebook then you now know that we're back from our wedding/honeymoon/vacation from the beautiful island of Oahu, in Hawaii. Honestly one of the most happiest places I've ever visited, even the homeless there are extremely happy, well from where we've visited on the island. Anyways, we're back and not loving the weather at home, it's raining now and I'm(Jes) is still adjusting to the time while Dave is at work. So I shall tell you all about our beautiful sun filled week where the palm trees grow and the waves crash along the shore line.

Vancouver Airport is the best and most beautiful airport I've been to in Canada.

It all started on Saturday morning, say 3am, when we woke up get ready for our flight, fast forward to Toronto Pearson where we bumped into his charming father where we then realized we'll be travelling together which was a treat. Pearson airport has change(they have a place where you can get your nails done in 10mins). Anyways next stop was Vancouver where I got to pick up my next Starbucks collectible mug and another 6 hour flight was ahead of us to our final stop to Honolulu, Oahu. We were welcomed with the setting sun and beautiful weather and my future brother-in-law(now just brother-in-law) picked us up in his wicked rented convertible mustang(white) and cruised down the street to hit up our hotel.

My brother-in-law, RobRoy, with the Mustang.

Anyways, we got to our hotel, beautiful view. It's around 7-8pm and we're still waiting for my brother and cousins to arrive so dinner that night was at The Cheesecake Factory. (I'll try not to go into details for daily things, you should just know we went to a lot of places to eat out) Blahblahblah, met up with my mom and dad with my cousin Ryan and Ava and etc. Other people finally show up and the party begins!

Everyday and night was a drink fest, not compared to what RobRoy and RJ could do though. And finally the day of the wedding. The day was a blur, nothing was prepared and it was a hot, hectic, rush. No stress though honestly. Talked to Dave the morning of and truth be told he said that he had food poisoning last night. The poor man wasn't sure if he'd be able to make it down the....aisle? LOL, you could tell he wanted to marry me because he soldiered on and showed a brave face. Waimanalo Bay is a beautiful sight. If you're ever to visit Oahu, swim there, it's way better than Waikiki Beach, if you're up for the drive which honestly isn't too bad.

Our dinner ceremony was at Morton's Steakhouse, we had a private room all to ourselves and it was just beautiful. Filet mignon, veal chops, and jumbo shrimps for main, all cooked to perfection. Now that we're married and the ceremony was over our week had just begun. More food, more alcohol and more venturing. Beautiful people from the tourist to the locals and everything in between.

So now we're back home and missing the island but really, the reception party in Toronto is only a few months away so... more planning, more party, and more drinks! See you all in Toronto on August 10th, 2013. Keep an eye out for an invite and don't forget to RSVP!!!
