So obviously I've been slacking on this blog but for obvious reasons, I hope.
I mostly use my ipad (and using an ipad to blog and trying to upload photos seriously doesn't work, I promise that I've tried.)
If you're on my facebook you'd see all the photos and they're pretty self explanitory.
Anyways, this is just a small post to say sorry for no updates, I'll try to post more because I have bought myself a handy dandy new device for my ipad and it just makes typing more easier to do.
Look out world, more updates and hopefully photos to come. Here's a "quick" update on what you've missed.
July: Dave's birthday, we head down to Ontario
August: Our Toronto wedding reception, Dave starts his teaching course in Meaford
September: We're both still in Toronto enjoying life back home.
October: Jes gets a job thanks to her cousin and gets to live with paper for all of her days, Dave FINALLY gets to see and meet Rival Sons, not once but two times. (Might I add that they are just the loveliest of lovely people and super, amazingly talented.) Had a blast at halloween, obviously.
Now November: Dave is back in the east coast. Jes is still in Toronto working and soaking up the city and family love.
This past Sunday I, Jes, enjoyed The Food and Wine Expo. Those who came with me knows how much fun I had and now you are up to date.
Obviously there were more events that happened with more amazing people we got to hang out with and such but maybe I'll write about it one day at a time.
Hope you all enjoyed this update and it feels good to write again. Ok, have a wonderful Tuesday night.

Dave's Diet.
So Dave and I have been talking about getting our bodies summer ready. I know, I know, it's June so we have to step our game up. Well, we have about a month until we reach Toronto so he's really getting into it. And yes you read right, he, not I. I have been eating...healthy...ish. He just started the healthy eating but he's been working out. So a week into healthy eating for him and he's doing great but me seeing all this healthy eating stuff is driving me a little nuts and I....broke down today.
I got up and got some things done, while at the Superstore I headed to the freezer section and wondered why we didn't have these things in our freezer, so I bought them.

Chips and microwaveable junk and chocolate?! Ooh MY!!!
So it started with that...then Dave came from work and the words that came out of my mouth was, "Get changed, we're going to Wendy's." Our venture looked like this...
Can you guess who's is who's?
Yes, this is mine. Son of Baconator and Chili Cheese Fries with EXTRA Cheese Sauce.
Salad eater.
After all of that...I got this...
It was a kid size, so that's not too bad right?! Well, we get home and Dave writes in his calories for his HALF sized salad and is angered at the fact that it was 460, 25g fat. He blames me which I obviously deserve. Sigh...tomorrow is another day, I swear I'll try to be more supportive. Wish me luck!
Until our next blog :)

My Birthday
So I'm a month delayed on posting this but I've finally gotten my laptop out to write this. Not much has been going on ever since the wedding. Do we feel any different? Not in the least. At the moment we're just trying to keep busy (and sane) until we come down to Toronto in July. No set date on when we'll be arriving but know it'll be at the end of July and we're more that excited to be there.
As for the April month, my birthday has been on my mind. On Dave's mind, he had a lot more going on. CAT CCs were three weeks long and he left on my birthday, I wasn't the happiest to hear about it but here was my birthday celebration:
The weekend before Dave left for the field we went to this Chinese restaurant called 777. I've been craving dim sum ever since we had that stop over in Toronto and had Rol San with my brother and cousins. It wasn't that great. We went home and Dave baked a delectable ice cream sandwich cookie cake, end of weekend celebration with Dave. My gift? He bought it early, it was my mini iPad.
Monday, the day of my birthday, I spent the day with my lovely Aussie friend, Rachel, who arrived at my door with a pink gift bag with flowing tissue paper saying 'happy birthday'. We have coffee and head out for the day, enjoying whatever Fredericton has to offer (which is nothing). The highlight of our hang out? Taking her to Costco, her first time! She then drops me off to tend to her cute fur baby JR.
That evening I head to my wife on the side, Ashley, and Hayden's place where I'm showered even more with gifts and a cake! My cake had the best candle ever. Ms. Creative couldn't find candles in her home so she found what was closest to lighting up a cake...a flashlight. LOL! Hayden is sent to bed and girl's night begins with beers and Netflixs, sleepover is a necessity since it was my birthday and no one was home.
I forgot to mention, Rachel gave me an oversized clutch with shot glasses from Austrailia and a wacky pen with a roo that boxes with a cute card with kitties on it. Ashley and Hayden got me a gift card to Roots (because they know how much my closet is lacking, hahahah....not!) and a hilarious card where I squished a fly.
Friday arrives and it's girls night, and what do girls do on a Friday night in Oromocto? Why head to Griffins of course! Predrinks at the MacDaddy's resident with Anne, Kayla, Sarah and Tiffany. Three out of four head to the bars plus me and it's a blur with a furry tail to end it off.
Weeks go by now and Dave is still in the field. He's...
...And I stopped there because it was forever long. (And I started writing this weeks ago)
In the end I got a mini iPad from Dave and two collectables, one Hello Kitty and one Beauty and the Beast figurines. Photos will be up probably never but I'll try to post them.
Our next adventure, four years on the 30th of June! Who knows what shenanigans we'll be up to next!

Aloha!
So, if you're not friends with Dave or me on Facebook then you now know that we're back from our wedding/honeymoon/vacation from the beautiful island of Oahu, in Hawaii. Honestly one of the most happiest places I've ever visited, even the homeless there are extremely happy, well from where we've visited on the island. Anyways, we're back and not loving the weather at home, it's raining now and I'm(Jes) is still adjusting to the time while Dave is at work. So I shall tell you all about our beautiful sun filled week where the palm trees grow and the waves crash along the shore line.
It all started on Saturday morning, say 3am, when we woke up get ready for our flight, fast forward to Toronto Pearson where we bumped into his charming father where we then realized we'll be travelling together which was a treat. Pearson airport has change(they have a place where you can get your nails done in 10mins). Anyways next stop was Vancouver where I got to pick up my next Starbucks collectible mug and another 6 hour flight was ahead of us to our final stop to Honolulu, Oahu. We were welcomed with the setting sun and beautiful weather and my future brother-in-law(now just brother-in-law) picked us up in his wicked rented convertible mustang(white) and cruised down the street to hit up our hotel.
Vancouver Airport is the best and most beautiful airport I've been to in Canada.
My brother-in-law, RobRoy, with the Mustang.
Anyways, we got to our hotel, beautiful view. It's around 7-8pm and we're still waiting for my brother and cousins to arrive so dinner that night was at The Cheesecake Factory. (I'll try not to go into details for daily things, you should just know we went to a lot of places to eat out) Blahblahblah, met up with my mom and dad with my cousin Ryan and Ava and etc. Other people finally show up and the party begins!
Everyday and night was a drink fest, not compared to what RobRoy and RJ could do though. And finally the day of the wedding. The day was a blur, nothing was prepared and it was a hot, hectic, rush. No stress though honestly. Talked to Dave the morning of and truth be told he said that he had food poisoning last night. The poor man wasn't sure if he'd be able to make it down the....aisle? LOL, you could tell he wanted to marry me because he soldiered on and showed a brave face. Waimanalo Bay is a beautiful sight. If you're ever to visit Oahu, swim there, it's way better than Waikiki Beach, if you're up for the drive which honestly isn't too bad.
Our dinner ceremony was at Morton's Steakhouse, we had a private room all to ourselves and it was just beautiful. Filet mignon, veal chops, and jumbo shrimps for main, all cooked to perfection. Now that we're married and the ceremony was over our week had just begun. More food, more alcohol and more venturing. Beautiful people from the tourist to the locals and everything in between.
So now we're back home and missing the island but really, the reception party in Toronto is only a few months away so... more planning, more party, and more drinks! See you all in Toronto on August 10th, 2013. Keep an eye out for an invite and don't forget to RSVP!!!
At Waimanalo Bay for our ceremony | Two tortoises getting it on at Honolulu Zoo
Dave and I are drinking Whiskey Sour and Kai Kiss Martini @ Morimoto's | Me having shave ice in front of surf boards on Waikiki Beach
Scenic stop off, on our way to North Shore (I honestly don't know what beach this is)
Me and the boys with a teddy bear from Teddy Bear World
My Beautiful sister/hairstylist/life saver Cherisse | My cuzzzzzins at the ceremony
Cousins at Waikiki Beach
Dave and Terry(my beautiful mother-in-law)
The girls and I at Waikiki Beach | Sexy hula men(volunteers) at Germaine's Luau

Is It Really Down To One Month?!
Happy February 5th! That means... It's one more month until Dave and I tie the knot. Exciting EXCITING! I've got my dress, our family has booked their flight and a few have booked their rooms but it's cutting close so everything should be ready soon.
I've also heard even more exciting news this month, two awesome people that I know are pregnant! One with her first and another with her second. Names will be posted once I know if I'm allowed to announce it to the world. I'm so incredibly happy for them and I can't wait to meet them at the end of the year.
No big news when it comes to Dave and I though, news worthy-ish I could tell you is that Dave has taken his firearms course and I'm sure he's ready to go hunting. And I will be taking my First Aid Course this Saturday so I can try and get myself on the EA(education assistant) list here since I am no longer a KSW, I miss the kids already.
So at the moment I am playing housewife, cleaning and cleaning and making list for meals and budgeting and trying to finish up our wedding whatnots. Blahblahbloohbleh. That's all folks!
Happy Tuesday everybody. :)

Almost There...
So apparently Dave and I have less than 40 days until our wedding day! In between those days we still have so much to do. Are we worried, stressed or pulling out our hair out? Not yet lol! All we're thinking of right now is getting out of this cold and onto the beach to swim and drink more Bahama Mamas.
Anyways this post is just to update about the past things we've been doing since Cuba. Nothing. Mostly work and getting ready for the wedding. Saturday night hockey is finally back so at the moment that is on our TV while I pretend to understand the rules and etc. (I now have the rest of my life to learn about this sport.)
Things that we're looking forward to in February:
- Valentines Day [[Which consist of balloons and ice cream cake]]
- Paardeberg Ball
- Getting our wedding bands
- More fun time with my girl Ashley [[Shoutout! Heeeeyyyy!]]
- WINTERFESTHIVER!
Things that we're NOT looking forward to in February:
- No longer working with my kiddies
- Dave sleeping out in the cold for a few days a week before the wedding
- Missing out on Winterlicious in Toronto [[January 25 - February 7]]
Well, that's it from us for now. The weather has been cold but you all know that already. Tonight it's -11 but feels like -18 which isn't too bad compared to the worst -36. Ooh and also, Lyra(our female cat) turned 3 on the 24th! This was the most random post I've posted. Bleh.
