I meant to start this a while back but since Christmas is only SIX days away I've procrastinated. Well now that I'm here this is the beginning of, hopefully, a new hobby.
Welcome to the blog of Dave and Jes, and yes hi, it's me, Jes typing. I thought it'd be a great idea to start a blog since Dave and I are so far away from our family and friends. We hardly hear from them and rarely see them because life gets pretty busy. Also that one hour difference may seem little but it makes it a lot more complicated to communicate. Anyways, I also got this blogging idea from my wonderful cousin A(as she's named in her blog) who's started her own a few months back because just like her, she's far away from her family and friends. Check her blog out too, she's got the most cutest family and one of the most cutest baby. Here's the link:

Blah blooh blah, here's a little info about the life that we live. Dave and I live on the East Coast, New Brunswick to be exact, and he works for the Canadian Forces, hence the Army Life title above. Which on that note makes me an army wife(or should I say, soon to be wife since we'll be marrying next March of 2013). We've got two adorable kitty cats named Chiba(aka Mister Beebers) and Lyra(his loving girlfriend. Also three hermit crabs, Borb, Jimmay and Gary. We had a fish too but he recently died slipping out of Dave's hands while cleaning the bowl and headed down the sink in the bathroom. I'm guessing he watched Finding Nemo and thought he'd be back in the ocean.
Well, that's about it about our little family. We've done a lot of exciting things since Dave's gotten back from tour, he was in Afghanistan from February-October, like going to Boston and now the snow has fallen, a lot of it. Here are a few pictures from our adventures.
(All photos are taken by Dave, his new hobby is photography if you haven't guessed it yet.)
This first one is obviously of me. Dave was testing out some lighting fun. He truly gets carried away.
This is a photo of our dear Canadian flag on Remembrance Day.
This is a jellyfish, the size of a small apple with crazy lights flowing through. We got to see him and more jellyfishes at the New England Aquarium, along with other cool sea creatures. I also got to touch a stingray there! I'll try and post videos later on.
Christmas decorations in Boston. I can't remember where though, it was in a food court though! I'll repost when I remember.
Snow day fun! Second time school is closed due to snow, this time I didn't waste it away...
I'm not one to stay outside in the cold either and here I am, actually enjoying laying in the snow.
We were going to buy this fellow at the aquarium but sadly our Kenny(our Ford Ranger truck) could not fit him in with all the shopping we(I) did.
Here's our little big man Chiba...
...and his lovely girlfriend Lyra.
And a daily scene we get to see almost every day.
More to come so stay tune and thanks for joining us! Maybe I'll get Dave to actually type up a post. Ah... we shall see. We've still got Christmas and New Years and so much more coming up in such short time!
Have a lovely day people.
